In 2012 I was fortunate enough to do outreach work using Theatre to build confidence and leadership in Middle and High School aged students in the underserved/migrant communities of South Florida, NYC, Boston, Costa Rica, Brazil, and China - and I believe it changed my life maybe even more than the students. In every country they would share their life stories, fears, and dreams and I began to realize that no matter where I was in the world, their stories were the same. That’s when the concept of Pangæa came up in my mind: Even though we’re different, we are connected.

Cut to Election night 2016: During the Campaign and months following the election I didn’t like what was happening to the country that as an immigrant I came to know and love. The divisive rhetoric ripping this country apart, the message of hatred and division being spread both here abroad, a carelessness towards our planet where environmental regulations were being dismantled… It seemed like the world was coming apart at the seams and people would rather build walls than bridges. I felt like I had to do something.

So, I did.

May 1st, 2018 MIP was registered with the state of California and I began tirelessly working on getting out a message of universal Love, respect, equality and unity towards each other and our planet. The most important lesson those students taught me was: It’s our differences that bring us together and make us strong. We need not fear our neighbors but embrace them in unity and walk hand-in-hand in fellowship as a community so we can finally come together and realize that we are all Made In Pangæa.

Made In Pangæa is a state of mind. It’s how we choose to go out into the world letting everyone know what we are about. Universal: Love, Respect, Equality and Unity.
